My wife hikes by this and is curious. Might be obvious to someone. Springs under straight axle, four door and rear windows curve around to meet liftgate.

I have pulled a ton of XJ/MJ D44s and Exploder 8.8s for resale from the U-Pulls over the years using just a hacksaw.
The Exploder 8.8 is annoyingly SUA (as is the MJ D44)
Yep, Explorer was my first thought. Looks like a T-Rex got it. ;)
I have demolished Explorers imprinted in my mind from Jurassic Park.
Looks ready for an LS swap to me.
Strange how the chrome on the bumper is still shiny while the rest of the truck looks to have seen a forest fire or 2.
Thanks for the suggestions. I have told her Explorer. I do see now that they came with spring under axle so perhaps they changed at some point so spring over or I was looking at the wrong photos
For grins, give her some of this and a rag. Ask her to make the bumper *shine*. I, for one, would be amused to see a pristine shine on that forest fire victim
Speaking of which -- what do you guys think would be the MOST out of place thing to see on or in that wreck?
In reply to P3PPY :
DB Cooper?
Seriously though, I would be surprised if the vin tag was not missing.

Clearly not a truck, must be like all the quad guys calling them bikes.
I was in Search and Rescue for 7 years. I found a dead guy once who had launched his truck off a logging road into the abyss. But where he landed there were I think 5 other vehicles that had been stolen and pushed over. The oldest was from the 50's and the newest only a few months old.

Common (and cheap) way to lift the rear is to convert to spring over. Were you looking at photos of a lifted Exploder?
