Another car I wish I didn't blow up. I miss my Colt RS twinstick.
Ha! I had one of those cars in high school, and my best friend had a matching Plymouth Champ. They were fun, light, tossable little cars. The twin stick made good use of the narrow power band of the mighty 1.4L engine. I don't know about "unkillable", though, I didn't kill mine, but after a year or so of abuse at my 17-year-old hands, it was close to dead. Shocks were utterly shot, it barely ran, everything rattled, burned oil, clutch was toast. I beat the holy hell out of that car. It was my first car with a manual transmission and my first car that had anything approximating good handling, having owned 70s Ford land barges before then.
You learn something new every day. Today, I learned that Colts once were sold with a twin-stick transmission. How cool.
