Figured I'd share since I have it out: My first car was a 1982 Honda Accord sedan--and, yes, with a five speed. Like so many of them, it was blue on blue. Pretty advanced car for the day, too, with three-point rear belts and cruise control buttons actually on the steering wheel.

(Bonus points if you know where the photo was taken.)

Mine was a 1970 Plymouth duster. 318, 3 on the floor,  3.23 sure grip. Still have it!

Mine was a base model 1977 Toyota Corolla in 1991.  Mustard yellow with a black primer hood, like a mini superbee.wink.  1200 CC's and a four speed.  Best rally/ off road car a 17 year old could ask for. Left it home in Jasper TX when I moved to Austin to go to college. Ended up having my mom sell it so I could get a mountain bike to get around on which was the practical choose, but 28 years on I still miss that little car.

I had an Accord too- looked like this, but more scrapes and dents:

Manual, carb'd, and rolling on $25/ea Flying Dragon radial tires, it was astonishingly slow with unbelievably little traction to balance it out.  The only maintenance I did was regular retightening of the handbrake cables.

1989 Ford Escort 5-door hatch, powder blue. Don't have any photos, but it looked a lot like this one.

I think my aunt sold it to us for $125. Some kind of electrical drain would kill the battery every few days. I didn't really drive it that much honestly, but I did drive it on the first of my many "adventures" as I like to call them. (Any time you get lost, it's an adventure.)

On a lark, after school one day I got in the car and started driving to the town north of us. I got on the highway and headed up there, got lost, found a Walmart, bought a CD, got lost again, took a highway ramp too fast in the rain and slid way off into the grass, got back on the road and took a wrong turn when I was almost back to finding my way again.

By this point I believe the rain had stopped, and something was very wrong with the car. I pulled over as steam poured out from under the hood. I had my mom's cell phone in case of emergency, but I was scared to call her without knowing where I was.

So, I started walking back up the road from whence I came, hoping to find some kind of landmark before calling for help. Well, I guess my mom was worried about me because it was getting late, so she called me instead. I explained the situation with embarrassment, and somehow she came and found me. (Despite my directions.)

The car would be towed home and eventually found to have a bad water pump that caused overheating and probably a blown head gasket. Eventually my mom's boyfriend at the time and his buddies cut the car up for scrap and ended up dragging home an 80s Chevy Nova instead. (No idea why, I had no interest in that car and it didn't run either. Same powder blue color though, ha.)

I may have to dig up the old files I have which immortalized this car in video game form, as made by a friend of mine at the time.

Just like this with less metal on the bottom of the doors.

First car that was "mine" was a 1977 K10. 350/350 that dad bought when I was 14 for $500(!) I had to put a windshield in and replace the distributor, and pay for reg and insurance when I got a license, and if I sold it I had to pay back the $500. Pretty sweet deal. Yes, I sold it. 7mpg was just nuts.

First car I bought was a 1973 super beetle. I used the money I made from selling the K10. Learned to drive stick by just driving stick. I wish I still had that car. Funnily enough, the last car I bought was a 73 super. Not selling.

first car, second time owning it, after a rebuild and boost:

I miss the noises

current beetle, dormant, won't turn, very gross

very excited

'85 535i 5spd. Alpine White over Taurus Red. It presented really well but was a northern car all it's life and very rusty underneath. It almost never let me down, I drove through most of high school, college and between Ohio and Florida multiple times. Paid way too much for it as an over eager 17 year old, put way too much money into it, sold it for pennies, miss it to this day.

It currently has been made to look like one of the first iterations of Rusty Slamington and has a 5.0 and a hydraulic handbrake. At least it's still alive.

Red with red interior and horribly bashed in drivers rear quarter. It was fun for what it was, basic transportation.

1989 Dodge D350 that was my profile pic here forever. Cummins, auto. Open diff. Broken AC, no radio, not much of an interior. Old. Noisey. Slow. Obnoxious. Not very comfortable. Probably dangerous. I got mad at it's wiring and sold it cheap. I kind of miss it.

Being an urban Canadian, I did not get my first car at 12 years old :) I was 22 when I bought it, I think. Still have it, although it went to live with a friend for a while before coming back.

Nice, my first car is also an A-body that I still have (although currently the engine is disassembled). That would be my '66 Dart.

First car was a 71 super beetle but the engine was out and I was 14 with no real mentor so it never moved under its own power in my ownership.

first driving car was a 70 ford Maverick, 200ci c4 and that baby vomit/diarrhea pea green. I killed the motor and traded it with a little cas for a 79 impala 2dr months later.

Mike was a 1965 Mustang. Nothing fancy. It was the basic coupe with the 200CI and the 3 speed paper transmission. looked almost exactly like this but with the other style Hubcap for that year:

I wanted to buy A car almost exactly like this but dad said no frickin way was he supporting a purchase of a 455CI 442

My first was a Toyota Corolla GT-S AE86 coupe. Here's a scan of a photo of it from the first week I owned it. It sparked of a long-standing love/hate relationship with these cars that continues to this day...I've had at least one AE86 GT-S continuously since!
