I'm looking for some ideas for the magazine's Digital Destination bit.

Thanks.

Go.

I'd say the HAMB and BangShift, but they seem to be somewhat known. Don't know if Roadkill on YouTube qualifies. YotaTech for all things Toyota truck. It helped me swap a 22RE single handedly. Fired up the first time, with no leaks. Even walked me through a clutch, which I'd never done before, either.

I was going to give a few sites that I might commonly visit for 6 minutes or less (and no one knows) but then I re-read the title and I see it specifically says "car websites"

I like reading the old Gus stories from Popular Science. The website takes me back to when I was a kid getting haircuts at the barbershop and reading the old copies of Popular Science.

http://www.barryboys.co.uk - a friend helps run this forum dedicated to lambasting bad UK fast-n-furious-typ cars, or as they call them, "sheds".

I second this. I spend way more time than necessary here.

My morning wakeup is always GRM, and then http://www.speedhunters.com

There is no better automotive photography on the web than Speedhunters. The variety of stuff they cover is also much larger than most sites.

Wow, I'll have to read more on her site, what a writer. Here's a snippet of her comments on the Veyron:

"Money is a mysterious and lethal instrument. But the car, like a child caught up in a fetid custody battle, is innocent in it all and waif-like and wide-eyed. Apart from its ego-driven conception and reality and purpose this car sits in the world real and happily functional. And stunning and appealing and accomplished and I loved driving it on New Mexico roads watching blued mountains shrink rapidly in the mirror. Not extremely fast and for only a breath or two. But I realized quickly that I knew this car better and more deeply than others who had driven it even longer and faster. I knew this because I sensed mutuality. We knew each other and thus I did not have to go any faster or any farther to know more. I grasped the hand of the waif and smiled at, never mind how, wonderful things can emerge from distorted causality."
