besides messing around with karts and miatas, my other hobby is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
This week Joe Rogan had Gordon Ryan, the greatest active jit jitsu practitioner on his podcast. Gordon was talking about the new miata he just bought, telling Joe how he loved it. They brought up Flyin Miata. Joe has apparently heard of them but doesn't know much about them. THey play the Matt Farah video and Keith shows up in the worlds largest podcast.
Haha, that's awesome! Hopefully it wasn't the cringeworthy video with the tires rubbing on every turn and bump!
I was ready to kill my coworkers when I got back to the shop after that shoot. At least one knew of the problem but had never mentioned it. I'd never had it happen - you needed two big guys on board to get it to rub. I rolled those fenders in the parking lot of my hotel with a jack handle as soon as that shoot was over because the Automobile Magazine test started that day. Car hasn't rubbed since. But now that video is all about rubbing tires.
But I'm going to guess it was the Indy V8 video.
Found it - Miata talk starts at 132 minutes in. And I'm the one driving in the flybys, BTW :)
Sounds like maybe I need to stop by Joe's studio with a car...
Hey, I'm testing for my blue belt this month! Still not as cool as Keith though.
In reply to Keith Tanner :
I've thought this for years. You guys (FM) should reach out to Jay Leno also. Heck, just randomly pick celebs and PM them to let them to drive your shop cars and give thoughts. You drive to Hollywood, you get to meet a celeb, you get free advertising hits on your channel. Just cash in on that "So-and-So drove a Miata! Here's why that's important!"
