Mrs. DX's 2012 Jetta had a hubcap stolen from it (beats me why someone would swipe it) and she wants a replacement. I'm looking to see what options there are besides going to the dealer. Any recommendations?

eBay. Can you provide a picture of the style that you're looking for?

There are a number of places online that sell replacement hubcaps, one is http://www.hubcaps.org Their site is also useful for identifying old US car hubcaps, they have photos going back into the 50s for most of them.

Not the most popular item for sure for enthusiasts but you could register at vwvortex.com and make a WTB post in this forum:

Jetta MK VI Parts

This is a generation specific VW classifieds forum.

Just for fun, I'd phone the dealer. They will either be way more, or way less than you think.

Otherwise, you could just find an unattended Jetta like the last guy did.

I bent a wheel and lost a hubcap on the Fiat. The cap was about two bucks more than the wheel.

I'll have to fire up my ole Vortex account and try that approach. I hadn't thought of that one. I checked Ebay and it would actually be cheaper to buy an entire set of 4 hubcaps (more generic mind you) and buy one of the same that is missing.
