After seeing the port shapes, I like the idea of a Chevy 2.2 in just about anything. Should be able to get 250+ horsepower from one without much headwork. Not sure what the bottom end would need.
It had beautifully shaped ports and 44mm intakes stock. VW watercooled guys would kill to be able to run valves that big!
