I have started as well. I may actually keep this one for awhile after the challenge. A pickup truck is handy to have around.
At which point you will need to get the one accessory that every truck owner must have:
A bumper sticker Tha says "YES, I HAVE A TRUCK. NO, I WILL NOT HELP YOU MOVE."

If the fact that I bought the car and started working on it for the $2014 challenge and didn't finish it counts, then yes, I started.

making attempts to acquire a never before challenged engine.
Well, I bought this last night & am heading to pick it up now. Not sure I'll actually build it/bring it to the Challenge, but it's definitely under budget.

Maserati biturbo?
Pratt & Whitney??
Heh.
Actually i was efforting a triton v10. Its there if I want it, but the lack of info on their wiring and what to do to make it operate outside a ford truck is staggering.
I'll be bringing the caprice that I tried to bring this year ....so yes lol

I'm still not seeing the problem. I just hope it's a crew-cab dually and you replace the rear duals with some 20"-wide slicks.

Yes, yes, we have started a challenge build. This one is not a truck, the truck build is going to stay a bit more of a surprise...
The highest highs and the lowest lows came right after Climax
I do need to come up with a value?
Had to first, find 4, 5x4" (not 5x4.5" as I was thinking). wheels with good, tires and reverse thread lug nuts for the drivers side stud. Its very crunchy, and I laughed too, but I have a plan.
'Post to be a big snake and a ghost living in it. Once I get the nerve to pull the seats, and get the damn trunk open this build is on.

Those pics made me wonder if my tetanus shot is up to date.
really rusty early dart. $200 tops. hell, its not even a good parts car.
but post a build thread!!!
sorry, but all remaining 66 dart's need to be clones of Dick Landy's A/Fx car or early road racer. Iv'e noticed a couple folks here can help make it turn, right and left, not Gay
Hmmm.....
D dart clone....
There's a Guy on mopax that races one of the original d-darts that's an ex trans am car.....
I wonder if anyone still has one of the short track duster body kits Petty Sold for Chrysler,Ya'll Know Dale SR. did the R&d Driving for those cars.

Makes a 'body drop' easy if the floors are already gone
I've started my $2020 build. With young kids, it's going to be a while.
My Challenge budget is just under $400 so I figure it will take 4 years to spend the other 1600.
It's my $200 DSM but I'm keeping it a secret from the board!!!!

Hey duster. Did I see somewhere you were interested in a TPI fuel injection setup 4 a GM?
If so shoot me a pm.... I may be switching over to carburetors
Haven't done the challenge in a few years, and don't post much here anymore...Can someone kindly point me in the direction of the $2017 rules? I searched and didn't get them to come-up. I feel like challenge info used to be a conspicuously-posted sticky every year...
Ovid: I was at one point, but moved in the Ford direction instead. Thanks though.

I've got the 2014 challenge car that I'm supposed to be coaching the local boyscout troop through. I don't think it's been touched in about six months other than me putting the body up on a trailer so that I could mow the weeds under it that were making my wife feel bad about our backyard.
