This is the most GRM truck I've seen in a while.

Uh, Keith Lopez owns it. It states that right in the article. You did read the article, didn't you???
I like that a lot. It doesn't look like it's rusted out just never been painted and the paint has been ruined for a long time. "Gas Monkey Garage" would put a coat of clear on it, a monster crate motor, etc, etc, and go spin donuts in the parking lot. I wonder what kind of gas mileage it actually gets.
Hmmm......I have the same truck, even the same intake manifold, but no turbo. I"m sure it's no gas miser, as the N/A 300 cid six in mine only returns 15mpg or so. Honestly I don't check the mileage much, as it's bad enough that I don't need to be reminded of how bad it is. That inline 6 is a beast of an engine. Stock it isn't a powerhouse, but it will live forever with very little maintenance.
Great sleeper!
I've long wanted to just that to a 300 powered F150, except I'd start with an EFI version.
I think Mr Kieth Lopez needs a complimentary issue of GRM.

Well unless that's his screen name.
When I was 16 I had a truck with the fuel injected 300HO and 5-speed. Even with stock power it had trouble launching (I was 16 after all) without scary wheelhop.
In reply to 2002maniac: I had an '83 F150 with a 300 and 4 on the floor when I was 17. When I bought it, it had bad shocks all around, and frightening wheel hop. I couldn't afford a set of 4 new shocks at once, so it put new shocks on the front, and removed the damaged rears completely. I found that one was blown completely, and then other was dragging in rebound. It actually rode better with no rear shocks then with the bad ones. I drove like that for a few months.
I somehow doubt the idea that 6psi into a motor that made about 150hp from the factory will return 300hp.
The intake, carb, and exhaust should get you at least 200 hp, so throwing a decent sized turbo running 6 psi should be get you close to 300 hp at the crank. I can't imagine that getting 300 to the ground with that setup.
