We're looking at 400whp at about 2100lbs. From the numbers all you are throwing out, this is gonna be a fast year.

Count me out of fast. Unless we're going purely by trap speed.

I'm probably going to run a 14.8 @ 125.

Wow, I'm hoping for about 300 @ 3000 lbs. 8 months to go, and I'm thinking starting with the heaviest car I've ever challenged is not the wisest plan. Perhaps in the future I'll find a better chassis for the engine.

Really tell that to the 2 FWD guys in the very low 11s last year

Will this be the year for a 9 second car?

If we break 9's on a 2k budget, do you know how many people are going to call BS?

It will be GREAT!

2010 - 300HP, 2800#. Nothing spectacular, but going to stick to the $1000 class.

2011 - 400HP, 2000#. Should be more entertaining.

I'm shooting for 290hp 2700lbs, I'll be stripping off paint and parts to make weight and budget

Different kind of power delivery, and i'm sure they had better tires than i'm inevitably going to end up with. I haven't broke out of the 13s yet, and i was down on power compared to where i'll be sitting at that point.

I know i could probably break 11s if i put some DRs on it, but i'd rather spin than break stuff. These transmissions aren't known for being real robust. I'm in no danger of placing Top 10 in this competition, so i'm just going to attempt to do a full track burnout.

Just do an engine explosion in the pits or something though :p. I almost got nailed by flying tire last year... once is enough :p

Bingo! I'm just coming to have fun, and to entertain people. You all thought the Phostiva was hairy down the drag strip, i figure i'm in good shape for a few laughs.

This gets my vote. Please do the slant six with twin hairdryers like a BMW.
