This makes me want to start trying to talk to the right people and organize a safety campaing aimed at combatting street racing by having track sessions.
I doubt that angle alone would do it...but you never know until you ask ;).

Maybe you could get the street survival group to work toward getting an event there. That may be the ice breaker to getting some track use.

It's where they send you after learning Arabic that's the scary part...
We use to autocross at a guard base, then 9/11 happened. It was a small lot anyway, but bummed to lose a spot. Maybe they are loosening up again.
Back in the mid '50s SCCA raced at a facility called the Berwick (PA) Tank Test Track. It still exists. A bit short but you wonder...
The Letterkenny Army Depot (near Chambersburg) has a like facility (longer roads) but the roads are in a state of disrepair.
And of course the USAF used to allow racing at a lot of SAC bases....
