My modern'ish Volvo came with a can of fix-a-flat in leiu of a compact spare. Mrs. Calteg and I are going on a decent roadtrip in August and I figured I'd pop down to the pick & pull and get a compact spare to throw in the back.
Turns out they refuse to sell you rubber more than 7 years old, and there aren't any late model Volvos in the nearby lots. Nothing on CL either. Any other 2016 and newer 5x108 cars I'm missing?

Last gen Ford Focus, and Escape have 5x108 wheels. Might have more chance with those?

In reply to David S. Wallens :
Need the rim too.
In reply to fanfoy :
I thought only the Focus RS shared that bolt pattern. I'll have to look into that

Nearly certain the ST is also 5x108, but not sure about the rest of the Focus family.
Can you get the yard to pop off the tire and sell you just the wheel? If so, the Lincoln LS is a good choice. 17" aluminum spare or 16" steel depending on some random option I've not been able to figure out.

All Ford non-Mazda based front drives are 108 (I mean 4.25) whether four or five lug. Some of the rear drives, but not all, also have 5x108.
The amusing one is the final gen Fiesta and its chassis sharing Mazda 2 had different bolt patterns, because Ford gotta be Ford.

Looks like fanfoy is right, MY13+ Escapes have the same bolt pattern. Based on sales volume, I suspect that's my best bet.

You can also check at Jaguar from the Ford era (S-Type, X-Type, XJ 2009+)

Which was also my main gripe with the Fiesta ST, but that's a different thread...
I now own three cars that didn't come with a spare tire. I expect to get a flat someday, but I don't ever see myself using the tire repair goo that came in the trunk.
I'm a little annoyed that they didn't come with a spare... but I'm really, really, annoyed that they didn't come with a jack and lug wrench.
If the year/model was also sold in Canada, there may be a kit available to order with the wheel, tire, jack and lug wrench.
Probably not cheap (the Elantra kit was $300), but would probably be the easiest way to get everything be sure you won't have any issues with fit.
Luckily, I own multiple cars with the same bolt pattern, so I just throw one of the winter tire/wheels in the car for long trips. I've never needed it, but.......
I believe modernspare.com sells all for reasonable pricing. Plus it's a new tire in case you actually ever need to use it.

ebay + hivemind knowledge ended up being the solution. Got a spare from an Escape for $125 shipped. Thanks again gang!
can the yard that won't sell you old rubber take a saw or something to the tyre itself so it cannot be repaired?

When I was there last week, the biggest problem was even finding a spare. Looks like they use the spares as bases to get the cars in the air. At the time I was only looking at Volvos, but every sedan had the spare missing and all of the SUVs had full size spares, which I'm trying to avoid
