Let's cut this guy some slack. He was probably sneaking out of the house at night to work on the car. So some quality deficiency should be expected.

In that scenario, a quality :deficiency would be something like skipping a couple zip-ties on a wiring harness or something. NOT using pre-crushed tubing for a roll-bar...

I think bgkast has it right. The wife realized that her husband has zero idea what he's doing, and his life insurance policy is not worth enough for her to let him die in this car.
