Late last night I was up surfing for parts on rockauto because I have to order new door switches and I was looking at what else might be worth getting. I noticed they had the AC clutch kit I was waiting for (Four Seasons #48573), I thought I was supposed to get an email alert when it was back in stock? I thought maybe I should order this RIGHT NOW but I was really tired, it should still be there in the morning right?
This morning I got up and it's still there. A few minutes ago I put it in my cart, select shipping location aaaaand...now the part is no longer available and is removed from my cart.
Made sure it has nothing to do with cookies on my computer. I watched a part become NLA just as I was about to buy it. Amazon still has some and they say the part is discontinued, in fact I better buy that instead of writing this.
RockAuto is not the best at updating their listings when something is discontinued or not in stock (I've experienced similar scenarios when searching for Alfa 164 parts). Now hop to it on those Amazon parts!
Bought it. Also picked up a discontinued voltmeter that matches the other ones in the car.
You have more than one voltmeter in the car ?
i got what i think was the last Delphi oem radiator for my 2001 GTP in the country from Rockauto last summer... they had one listed available on clearance for a week before i decided to pull the trigger and i haven't seen another one available anywhere. the box was dated 2001, so it had been sitting around for a while..
I scored what may be the last set of new Koni Yellow front inserts for the 164 (... in the world) from a Porsche supplier that got them by accident. Part of what sucks about working on such an old and obscure car is that you often can't wait to buy that NOS part you've been keeping an eye on, but don't need quite yet. It sucks worse when you are tight on cash!
