When was the last time you saw one of these? Last time I did, I was driving a Skoda.

Count me in the never category. Kind of cool though. I'm not sure I would fit in it.

There's no delusion. It's grandeur. I think only the motor is Daihatsu

I've seen a whole lot full of them, maybe 15,or so. It was at a dealership in St. Eustache/Deux Montagnes,Quebec sometime since I met my wife in 1983.One of those would be pretty cool.

I met a guy trying to sell one at Nelson Ledges in Ohio a couple years ago. Not street legal here, of course.

How bad could it be? Too bad not for US sale though. I'd consider it.

Wheelbase and rear axle placement forward remind me of the sixties A/FX drag cars... first thing I thought of when I seen it n e way.... and a GRM engine transplant

I would love to have a garage pic of me driving a Lada pickup towing that Tomaso home.

They're both so stupid and useless but I must own them.

E: also, is that one of those subaru things with the odd windows behind the lada?

That's a Subaru SVX. Interesting cars -- flat six, weird styling, awd, automatics only but I understand there are manual conversions.

The Innocenti was based on the original Mini --they are tiny.

I have a (Suzuki) 3 cyl turbo that does 14's in the quarter, and my buddy's does 13's at greater than 100 mph.

Now, the Lada might be tapped out at 55.

Gotta love how proud some of the 80s turbo cars are. Mitsubishi starion, I am looking at you.

Imagine what an ecoboost SHO that is proud of its turbo goodness would look like today.
