I have $2. What are you guys pitching in?
How much for the two sets of Michelin's you'll need for each race weekend? $4k a set?
Something to think about this car. Let’s say you buy it for $80k and then race it for a year. Think you could break even? Maybe?

That's cool you wrote about Gino. I happen to meet the guy at my last Jzilla HPDE as he is friends with the guy from whom I rented a Miata for the day. He seemed down to earth and was certainly committed any track time possible. On a related note, shout out to Aaron Ball of Balls Out Racing for his rental program. Had a great time. Would rent again.

Very cool but the $79,900 is more than I've spent in 36 years of racing. LOL
For that level of racing it's absolutely grassroots budget.

After 17 years of racing I might be getting close already. But 2 of the 3 competition cars also served as DDs.
Buying the car seems like a small fraction of the budget needed to enter, support, transport, and compete in a series like that.
A TCR racer looks like a real fun thing to play with. Also, can we have a limited production road version RS3.R with the TCR body kit?
I used to race an ITB VW and thought about moving up. I talked to a buddy of mine who raced a C5 Corvette and he told me what a weekend cost him , so I built a SpecMiata instead. I couldn't see spending what he did on tires and brake pads, let alone the other costs.
