Looking for a blank canvas to create your ideal track car? How about this Datsun 510?
According to the seller, the 510 is a running and driving California car with no rust.
The Datsun likely has some SCCA history, though none of it is stated aside from the seller mentioning an “old…

Great timing! I just sent it to a buddy that wants to run a 13b in something.
In reply to preach :
13B in a 510 sounds like a lot of fun.

For God sakes don't put a rotary in it..........
It would be damn good fun with a rotary but these cars have such value now that it's best kept all Datsun.
Besides a race prepped L16 is capable of 160-165hp at the wheels. L20s are now belting out 200hp at the wheels.
You could also build a 2300cc motor for it as a track day car.
As 510s go this is an absolute steal. Average 510 race cars are now 30K and really top notch ones with provenance are 80-100K.
Troy Ermish has/had a nice one for sale for $105,000
I say SR20DE no T and velocity stacks.

In reply to Datsun240ZGuy :
I believe it sold. He was driving a different car at the B-sedan races last momth.
Also at the BRE open house Peter Brock mentioned that a front running 510 is now an 80K car.
In reply to preach :
Ugh... 510's are worthy of being kept all Datsunissan... A rotary would ruin its real race ability/legality.

I surely miss my 510 from back in the day. This is/was a good deal--perfect for modding and having a lot of fun in the process.

Doesn't Troy usually race his blue car?

Yes but I seem to recall he ran this one for a few events.............it could have been someone else driving it but it was at an event and was fast.......naturally I assumed Troy was driving it.
