Picked this up at the tow auction today for $275 not including title fee's. I bought it to flip but then I kept thinking about how I wanted one so bad in college. I should be getting it next week so I'll see more about it's condition.

Man I was all about that until I saw it. It's just like what I wanted 25 years ago.
I had a ‘77 CB550F. I loved it. Those bikes are just about the perfect size.
Make sure you clean all the contacts in the fuse box. Look for the tool kit and owners manual under the seat.
I wish I had gotten all the paperwork done today so I could pick it up. Now it looks like it'll be Thursday at the earliest. I always love looking through the tow paperwork. The PO address was an apartment in a trendy area of town but the Honda was towed from a parking garage in another trendy dining area of town. I like making up stories in my mind off him getting wasted one night and forgetting what garage he parked in.
So stoked you snagged this up. They are great bikes. I bought mine for $800 in boxes when I was in Highschool. She is minty fresh and period correct. Hand made 4 into 4 ceramic coated Megaphone exhaust.
I got title this morning. That cost me $95.75. We had some extra time so we stopped by the PO place to see if we could get keys. Nice guy, story is he just didn't ride it much and it was at a parking garage near his old apartment. By the time he got the notices that it had been towed they wanted $800 and he just didn't think it was worth it. He said that the wiring has issues and the front forks is missing a bolt so the oil drains out of one.
And then he gave me the keys and a tote of parts including a shop manual!
