I'm not exactly getting younger, and I've been toying with the idea of getting a motorcycle lift as I've been playing more with motorcycles than cars recently. For me, the options are mostly the Horror Fright 1000 lbs lift at the lower end, and the Quickjack ATV or motorcycle kit at the higher end. The ATV kit might help if it is wide enough to fit my garden tractor, plus I already have the Quickjack.
Does anybody have experience with the Quickjack kit?
The Habor Freight motorcycle lift works fine. Used to do oil changes on my Road King. You have to be brave to just drive up on it and get off of the motorcycle.
I used some bricks with a rag wadded up on top to hold the bike upright other wise for get it.
I too have had my Road King up on my HF lift many times without incident or drama.
I did use a better front chock than what comes with the lift.
I also don't use the wheels on the lift, letting the frame rest directly on the floor. No bowing or sagging or springing that way. It moves easily enough without the wheels.

I had the Harbor Freight lift for a bit, it worked well but it was a PITA to foot pump the thing up. I bought a Handy lift instead and it's the bomb. Way nicer than the HF one, which it should be since it costs more...
