As the title says, looking for a gel battery replacement for 71 Triumph T120. The previous owner had already installed a GB so that's why I'm referring to it as a replacement.  The one currently installed is approximately 5 years old.

And the reason for not buying the same brand?

No reason.  Not familiar with gel batteries. Just looking for recommendations.

The Yuasa AGM battery are good and generally get good reviews. Ironically they come dry with acid, that gets added and absorbed, gives the batteries longer shelf life that way. I have found the best prices on Amazon for the most part.

After reading about the hit and miss nature of glass-mat batteries charging or not charging I defaulted to lead acid as a known commodity. That would be the reason I asked about why not just replace what you have with the same brand? I consider 5 years to be the life of a battery. Anything past is bonus time.
