Riding from west Michigan down to mammoth caves / corvette museum for a 4 day trip with my 17yo daughter.
We will be taking secondary highways and back roads as much as possible.
Any roadside oddities or attractions we should detour to on the way?

Nashville, IN is a common biker/tourist stop. Big Woods Pizza is good. In general, the nearby hills of Brown County are some of the best motorcycling roads in the whole state.
Story Inn near Brown County State Park is a historic mid-1800's inn/general store. Definitely worth stopping at, and it forces you to take some fun back country roads.
Columbus, IN has some very interesting art deco and mid-century architecture and good places to eat. Zaharako's is a 100+ year old ice cream parlor that is basically a living museum. Columbus is also the corporate headquarters of Cummins. You might be able to walk into the lobby of the Corporate Office Building (COB) which has a really cool art piece that's an exploded engine with all its parts hanging from wires.
Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken near the NCM. it's a small chain AFAIK, so please ignore this recommendation if you have one near home.
she riding separate or pillion?
I'd look at Rever pro... apparently they are partnered with Butler maps which has some some great mapping for good roads.
