I'm repairing a starter on a 1983 Yamaha xv750(spun sun gear) I've cleaned out the old grease in the reduction gear and was wondering if anyone knew what I should replace with. The service manual doesn't show anything about the reduction gear. I've read other starters recommend Honda moly 60 which doesn't exist anymore and the Honda m77 that replaced it doesn't have the same amount of moly. Not sure if a non moly grease would work like Lucas Red N' Tacky.
