I know this is common. How? Because like 5 of my customers have the EXACT same concern. I can't find any real help on the matter.
Here it is:
When I use my wipers, there is a large spot that doesn't get touched right in front of my face on the windshield. I have the wipers oversized so they get the whole damn windshield, I have gone back to the factory size and still have the problem. Replaced the spring loaded wiper arm itself, still there.
Any ideas?
I guess if there's six of you then it can't be a mutant non-flat windshield, which was going to be my first guess. You say you replaced the wiper arm: could you gently bend it so it's pressing the blade harder on the windshield?

Try some rain x, a lot of the cabs i drive get that also. I think its either small scratches or some kind of residue left from car washes or wipers

Done that too, still leaves a spot.
Have you tried different brands of wiper? I like PIAA silicone, Bosch used to be good but has gone downhill, the Chinese Michelin blades look a lot like a PIAA, I just started running one along side a PIAA refill in a random frame to compare.
My F350 has that problem at speeds over 40mph. I've been considering adding a little wing so air flow will press it to the window.
Hmm, I've never noticed this on my P71, but maybe its still too new.
I wonder if you can retrofit wipers from the 03-04 Cobras, as they have the type of wing Toyman is talking about.
