Got a bit of an odd question. Buddy of mine is looking at a 2005 Tahoe Z71. Odometer shows 118K miles, but When you cycle through the business and personal trip that mileage is showing 148K miles. Any guesses or thoughts are welcomed. Cheers

I would guess they were running simultaneously at some point.

On my 04 Silverado the trip odo goes wonky e we 10th startup or so, but usually to the regular odo value. What sort of hours does it have?

Every GMT 800 instrument panel cluster is defective. If the truck was well maintained, then the instrument panel was probably replaced at least once already. When the dealer requests a re-manufactured IPC, he has to send in the old one. The correct mileage is flashed on to the replacement IPC. I'm not sure how the hours and personal/business data is handled but the actual ODO value is transferred to the replacement part.
