Don't recall if we covered this before but who else watches Emergency, Rockford Files, etc., just to see the old cars?

Chips had lots of good material as well.

Rockford files for the cars. Here is a bit of trivia, the first episode of Rockford files (on netflix) you can see Columbo's Peugeot convertible as the camera pans across the pier parking lot right after the beginning credits.

I'd love to have that Dodge. And yes, if they were on I'd watch them for the cars.

There is a website for CHips that catalogs all the cars.

Hulu.com has a bunch of those shows online - Adam-12, Dragnet, Emergency!, Rockford Files, Highway Patrol, and others.

I love Emergency! The last time my wife was in the hospital they set her up with an IV of Ringer's Lactate. Part of me was a bit excited to see it.

I've been hooked on the show The Americans, and always comment on the 80's cars they feature. And the poor girl they sent back to Russia.

I remember Emergency! when I was a kid. It's on my Netflix Instant list right now.

I LOVE emergency. Dixie/Julie London. Watching her as a kid, she seemed like a nice lady. Now? I seem to appreciate her in a different way. Saw this a few weeks ago and had to take a picture of the screen.

I believe they had an episode with Roosevelt Grier getting stopped while driving a real Mini. Now THAT was funny.

Yes, but that involves actually watching CHiPs, and I'm not sure I would survive that much concentrated stupidity.

The original Hawaii Five-0 is also full of great cars. There's an episode in which an evil seismologist is planting bombs to cause volcanic eruptions (like Dr. Evil), and the seisomologist's vehicle is a green Mazda REPU.

According to Wikipedia, Agent 86 drove a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT PF Spider Cabriolet in the first episode.

I've always wanted a big black Mercury that could squeal its tires in the middle of a pineapple plantation.

And there's a gray Vega in about every episode.
