First week of Kindergarten is half-days, so we are all easing into it. Mom is taking it hard, the boy is beyond excited.
My kids are in 4th grade and my wife still takes the first day hard. Im not sure when that ends.
First day? My kids have been in school for 5 weeks, their first report card came home on Friday.
Did your boy try to get in the drivers seat? If he didn't, he's not true GRM... 
yep, all four of mine went off on those vehicles today.
My son begins PreK tomorrow. He's a bit nervous about it, but we think he'll have lots of fun.

I love the start of school. Kids get dropped off and I will sometimes come home and just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee doing NOTHING for 15 / 20 min before I head off to the office. I usually let my wife sleep in during the school year as she has had kid duty all summer and I need to be up anyway.
Seriously why do people cry when there kids go to school. I look at it as freedom!!!! It is not that I don't love my kids but having a little alone time is a healthy thing. As a parent you need it. Embrace it!!!!
Ok I will admit that I MAY have used mornings while the kids are at school to work on cars. But I look at that as a therapy of sorts.

Be thankful for the bus, my oldest starts leaving for school in his own car starting next week.
