The end of the regular season was absolutely incredible. Wish I could say I was awake to see it. I get up at 4am every day, so staying up that late isn't in the cards for me.
Living in the Philadelphia area, of course the talk here is World Series champs or bust.
I'm a lucky guy. My wife is really into sports too, especially baseball (she actually listens to sports talk radio in the car by herself). She just turned 40 years old a few days ago. Bought her tickets to tomorrows' playoff game as a present. Can't wait!
Oh, sorry if this thread upsets and Red Sox or Braves fans...

My Brewers will have a hell of a time making it through your Phillies...

Uh, I don't wanna talk about it.
At least my NL team came through, go Cards! I was happy to see them get a title a couple years after they got bulldozed by destiny in '04, and I would like to see them get another.
The end of the season was some of the best baseball I have watched in years. I was at the last Baltimore Vs. Boston game and it was great to watch the O's play the part of the spoiler and send all those sox fans home with extra long frowns.
The post season should be great !!!

The best I can say is the Mets won their last game.
I'm left rooting for the Rays, the D-Backs, and anyone playing the Yanks.
I don't have the time/desire to keep up on stats and all that, so I'm a casual fan. I love baseball and taking my son to Dodger Stadium as often as I can, but ask me about the line up and you'll get
I'm not a fan but because my son has a box at Yankee stadium I go, it's just inside the right field foul line. I watch the Yankees but try not to get as emotional as some do.
Yeah, it was quite a finish.

Derek Jeter and the Yanks. A class act. Some would go so far as to say they're the best team that money can buy!
My wife likes the Red Sox. I like the Yanks. We get along great.
One of these days I think she's gonna whack me.
Brave's fan <--- season sucked.

Go to Fenway in a Yankee outfit, it will be a quick death.

That was the best night of baseball I've ever watched. Being a Phillies fan has been great lately, but I do kinda miss the days of getting into the Vet for free and sitting in the 300 level.

Dodgers fan here--considering all the injuries this season, it was amazing we finished over .500. But the season actually ended pretty well. On August 12, the Dodgers were 12 games under .500, then went 30-15 for the rest of the season--the best in baseball during that period. So I hope it's not ridiculously optimistic to say, as Dodgers fans always do, "Wait until next year."
And on another note, it will be an absolute robbery if Kershaw doesn't get the NL Cy Young (led the league in wins, strikeouts, and ERA) and Kemp doesn't get the NL MVP (led the league in HRs, runs, RBI, second in steals, third in batting average). But since the MVP almost always comes from a team that makes the playoffs, I won't be surprised if at least one gets robbed.
That Rays-Yankees game was incredible. Overall, I agree that was probably the best single night of baseball that I can remember.
And since the Dodgers can't win it, I'll say go Rangers.

haha - suck it boston. your collapse was worse than ours, at least the indians blew it with 4 weeks to go and not on the last day.
hate the yankees, hate the tigers, hope the national league wins the series. charlie manuel is one of the nicest guys i've ever met but i can't stand it when philly(the city of entitlement) wins anything.

I haven't seen a collapse like that in Boston since 1919
