I am decidedly not an HVAC guy and I need some help. I swapped thermostats between two houses and now house 1 is stuck on heat. As soon as the thermostat is plugged in the heat comes on, regardless of settings. Even when turned off. House 2 is functioning normally.
They are wired the way the previous unit had been, so I'm unsure of what happened.
In H1 I have:
White to W1
Black to W2/Aux
Orange to O/B
Red to R
Yellow to Y
Blue to C
Green to G.
Again, as soon as the thermostat gets plugged in, the heat comes on.
I killed the breakers and opened the furnace to double check wiring to control board.
Control board has Black to W1 and White to W2, with W1 and W2 jumpered together. I swapped the B and W wires in the thermostat to match and same issue, heat as soon as thermostat plugged in and power on.
I'm stumped because this t-stat worked great at House 2. And the Nest T-stat that was in H1 previously worked fine as well.
