I am going to go see a IMAX 3D movie on Monday and I haven't been to one in probably 10 years. I want to know, do they still have the funky huge glasses or are they the regular 3D glasses I see that the regular movie theater uses?

I went to Transformers in IMAX 3D. It was WAY awesome.
I went to Harry Potter in regular 3D on Thursday at midnight. Didn't notice it as much.
Yeah we're going to go see Harry Potter. My wife is making a big deal out of it, so we HAVE to go see it on IMAX in 3D.
I saw TRON in IMAX 3D; it was a gift....lousy movie, but awesome 3D and the sound was amazing. I don't know if the theatre had a special sound system, or all IMAX theatres have the same system, but, with a Potter movie, the sound track is a big part of the movie--even if you don't realize it--and it should be awesome. GO.
As an eyeglass wearer, I find the glasses over glasses a royal PITA, I WISH oversize glasses were available. But, the current ones, once adjusted on nose properly, are OK.

The Transformers movie I went to in 3d had oversized glasses and they worked great over my standard glasses. at Harry potter, I busted the lenses of my 3D glasses out and affixed them to the outside of my regular glassses...
