Very interesting show, well done. The hype about all-color is a bit much, but the photography is riviting. More of a personal level than normally seen in war flicks. A lot of interesting history I did not know. I'll be watching, too. My wife does not like war movies but would not let me have the remote.

Good stuff- looking forward to tonight when they cover D-Day, and the problems of the breakout in northern France.

LL Kool J is listed in the credits, interested to see what he plays. I think he's an interesting actor.

I have DVRed it but have not gotten a chance to watch any of it yet. My wife says "you already know how it ends". I can't wait till the weekend.

Horrible, gory shots of corpses, stories of madmen running governments, world wide death and destruction, but a feel-good movie. How can this be? Yeah, we know how it's going to end, but so much bravery, so many heroes, such extreme villians. Bad times, good people, bad guys lose. (Almost) all Americans supported the war effort, sacrificed to help the effort. The Greatest Generation. My Dad was on Iwo Jima as a Seabee, never mentioned any stories.

The most interesting thing was the description of the Time Magazine writer who was a combat reporter. He mentioned that he did not know if that generation had what it takes and wouldn't just fold under. Interesting as how I read the same thing about our current generation in Iraq in Generation Kill.

I think our most difficult current test is Afganistan. Our soldiers, raised on video games and computers are faced with men who only know war. Men that defeated the Russian Bear. That one worries me, but we don't really know what happens there.

all war sucks, is bad ,is evil, and proves the human race has not elevated to any level of good or useful beings. they have no spirit or SOUL. read why SOCRATES died, its simply about money and power, always was and always will be, as long as war exsists. and humans, like animals are made of flesh and blood.

long live the Cyeborg
