I have a question with regards to foil design for a wingsuit
I'm assuming built-to-spec rather than DIY, built-to-spec is more common than you might think.
(No I don't base jump but I do think wingsuits are cool)
Definitely not DIY. I'm curious about foil material weight when wet as I'll likely be doing a fair amount of water landings in very cold water with a dry suit on underneath. That being said, it will potentially be hours until I'm able to get warm and dry after a jump. Cold and dry is possible; but again that will likely be 45-90 minutes in most cases and I'll have a fair amount of physical activity (paddling and hiking) to do prior to getting dry.
Weight of wet foils of a heavily foiled suit concerns me, but I'm not interested in air speed, so they're preferred as they create loft and with the airflow in the fjords, airflow is strong. But the weight and frankly volume of a wet heavily foiled design in frigid water needing to be packed into my back is a concern.
