So when I graduated college, I got for a gift an entire Facom tool set in a Ferrari branded tool cart.

They've been great tools, but I broke my 1/2" drive ratchet a while back and cracked a 15mm socket 1/2" drive socket a couple weeks ago.

I found out a while back that S-K Tools who was the main distributor of Facom in the US, stopped distribution somewhere around the Recession, so I was pretty annoyed that I couldn't find anything and gave up.

Just recently when I broke the I decided to see if I could find any tools and I found some on Amazon, but I came across what looks to be an actual distributor:

This guy has a decent selection of stuff. He seems to have a lot of extra info about the tools themselves.

Seriously though, they're available in the us still. A quick Google search will tell you all you need to know. We need to provide 3 competing quotes for all tool purchases for our school, we've used facom as one of the quotes on several occasions.

I have a set of Facom screwdrivers. I think I got them from Griot's Garage a million years ago.

I have a couple pieces I got from Ultimate Garage - really nice stuff. He's a good guy with long-time links (20+ years) to the BMW enthusiast community (and probably a few others, but that's where I know him from).

Griot's was the first thing I thought of when I read "Facom", but I haven't seen any in their catalog for awhile now.

I've had a single Facom 3/8" ratchet wrench for over 10 years. It's been great and has held up to lots of abuse. The small step ratchet is very useful in some tight locations.

The guy from Ultimate Garage posts occasionally on the Garage Journal forum, he responds to questions about Facom tools and seems to be an upright citizen.
