I used to love man at arms. They went mia for a couple years, came back without a few principal characters, and hasn't been as good.
So I still watch Forged in Fire but honestly you can only Damascus this x layers blah blah his forge welds split blah blah so much.
THIS was suggested in my YT feed and the thought occurred to me that maybe one reason this stuff is popular these days is that a sizable percentage of the population is just yearning to make something with their hands... Maybe I've been watching too many Jordan Peterson videos.

There are only so many ways you can forge a knife :) There have been 225 episodes according to IMDB so yeah, they're gonna get a bit repetitive. Wil Willis actually left the show because he was tired of the repetition.
I've just started watching the first seasons on Hulu and it's interesting to see it evolve. I'm in the middle of season 2 and nobody's done a canister yet. It's a bit like the Great British Baking Show, once the show got popular the quality of contestants shot up and the challenges had to get more difficult.
