Uh... Not to give advice where I'm not involved, but this seems like a potentially catastrophic idea. I would proceed with the most caution possible. Because it sounds like a horrible idea that isn't worth the laughs.

Agreed. YOU might think she had a perfectly fine android, but SHE doesn't. Giving her a "gag" box with no follow up of an actual iPad, is a dick move.
We're all welcome to our opinions. The lot of us, meaning myself, Dana, and Thing 1, rather despise Apple and have no interest in any of their products newer than a 2E.
She has not asked for an iPad, and does not want one, so this isn't the total bait and switch you guys seem to think, just something different to go with her books and extended crunchy roll subscription she's actually getting that will most likely leave her laughing her ass off, if a tad embarrassed.
She's known me since she was 7. Gag gifts are expected at this point.
The fact she did not ask for one changes it. I apologize for jumping to that conclusion, carry on with yo bad self.
