Have a stash of AutoWeek mags from '91 thru '01. Thought it would be neat to re-read 'em down the road but just taking up needed space now. Thought they'd be worthless but there's pages upon berkeleying pages of individual issues and annual collections on fleabay.

Do people really collect these? Or, is there someplace better than the recycling bin for these.

If you decide that selling isn't worth it, try a local school. Art classes love magazines for collage work.

Not interested in making a buck on 'em at all, just to find a place where they'd be appreciated.

I hope not. I threw away hundreds of them a few years back. Mine went back to the early 80s, too.

BTW, 5 Liter wine boxes make great magazine storage, typically hold a 12 month subscription. Slot in great on metal shelving.

It's like buy a box of wine and get a free magazine holder. Win!

I had a subscription for many years but then stopped. I went through my collection a few years ago and kept those issues that had an article or two that I liked or had info I might need in the future. As it is since that time I have not looked at any of them but their not taking up much room so I'll let them be for the time being.

I also have copies of R&T, Hot Rod, and others. Some were edited and some are still complete.

I've been an Autoweek subscriber since 1986. My subscription ran out about eight months ago and I just noticed last week.

I recycled most of mine (along with R&T issues), only keeping ones that had some significance or an interesting article I enjoy reading more than once. The AW issue with the death of Dale Sr. on the cover. Kept that one. And the R&T issue where Egan did a cross-country co-drive with the new owner of a vintage 289 Cobra. I enjoy rereading that story now and then.
