it's probably the same vendors selling the same fried stuff on the same sticks at both fairs... but MN wins because it's not 110 degrees in the shade while the fair is going on- it's only 95 with 135% humidity..
and no one outside of the MN/Dakotas/WI/Iowa area has any clue about the heavenly concoction known as tater tot hotdish- so far, we've done a pretty good job of keeping that one to ourselves. can't say that i've ever tried it fried on a stick, tho...
Not true neither me nor my wife are from MN but she makes tater tot casserole. I had to look it up to know what you were talking about because I haven't heard it called that.
If it's called casserole it's not the same thing.

I know, I'm being sarcastic- It's a midwestern thing to call it hot dish- because hot dish here means anything with a can of cream of mushroom in it.
I'm from Iowa and we called it casserole, o course we had fried everything on a stick at our state fair also. I about died on the fried apple piece a stick....

Call me a pretentious urbanite if you will, but how in hell do you fry Coke or lemonade? Frozen?

I have no idea just saw a sign for it. Didn't have the will to walk over and see what it was.

Tater-tot casserole rocks! If you stick a bit of dead deer or antelope in there it rocks even more. And Everclear...few shots of that with dinner and everything rocks even more! God, there are days I miss SD.

I'll be in Dallas next week for work. I need to try and hit the fair and get some of that good fried food!

Someone came by with a bat because he doesn't root for AMERICAS TEAM even though he lives in Texas.

Years of bicycle wrecks, concrete work and crawl space work. Basically I've abused the E36 M3 out of them. The pain comes and goes but Friday night they just throbbed all night long and Saturday walking from the parking lot I knew I was going to be in trouble. Doc said partially torn meniscus in both knees.
