A NICE rollaround that has a couple of tools in it is a pretty nice brag in the auto shop. For tools I would think about some of the nice LED handheld lights that are magnetized. Ryobi small handheld stuff is really nice. Focus the effort and help him roll into the first days of work looking like a boss.
