Wow, logged on again for the first time in. well 4 years!!! Been so busy with things that this just go placed on the back burner. So what has changed. Well my cars have.
No longer do I have the 1985 Audi Coupe GT. I sold that to pick up a 1976 Porsche 924. Some small issues with the car, but at least its a runner. Check out the pics in the Readers Rides section.
I just need to do some digging but here is what I know about the car so far. It was originally bought by a Canadian Military guy stationed in Germany and brought back. Sold to another military guy and from there it passed through a couple of people until I got it. I think I am the 5th owner of this car.
So the big question is, "What did I miss????"

The youngin' Studdard. He's not so young anymore. He dun got all growed up.
Angry political / religious discussion in off topic are now highly discouraged. Some discussion is allowed, but we try very hard to keep it reasonable.
Miata's are still cool.
Welcome back. Yeah, still the same chat about cars and stuff.

Avatars are still normally small, so you might want to jump back on that bandwagon.

I don't even know how he did that.
Back when I was changing my avatar I had so many issues getting it to be the right size so they'd accept it.
Yeah, I tried to make that smaller. I need a shrinking machine. Bueller??
Anyone.
Pseudosport made a great "canoe" graphic with the 'Crazy Driver' t-shirt graphic.

The hotlink thread was actually started by a guy who was serious about stopping hotlinking.
The "I couldn't love the magazine more.." thing is still around, even though the original was lost when the old board went away.
Oh, and aussiemg finally got his towing sorted.

Have you seen the Ken Block video?
Per has left. But what I learned this year around the time of his leaving is that sort of like Beatlejuice, is you say the names of past employees like Noelle, pleasant PM's come your way.
That does make me wonder... John bmf'er Brown, the original QuaziMoFo has not been seen around these parts in a long, long time (could be years.) He no longer reigns supreme on the leaderboard.

As one of the first couple people to call him an idiot, I feel a little swell of pride when I think about what that thread has become. Although I must admit the Suddard boy did win the first page a few posts down.

Yeah, that was so cool. Seriously, tho..Tom's not really a "kid" anymore. I really can't remember the thread, but Margie came in calling him "Tommy" shortly after he'd asked the rest of us to stop it. So I made this:
Aside to Tom, since he's gonna see his name here...dude, the Model A thing is fantastic. Maybe I'm just old & slow, but I wouldn't DD anything older than the '60s. Good luck, bro..cheering for ya! I never met any of my own grand-dads, but family history says neither of them were car people.
The answer is mx6 gt. When that just won't work, "F2T" will be accepted.

John is still alive and kicking. I had beers with him the other night. Lots of excitement in his life, but things are turning out for the better.

Glad to hear he is well. Let him know we still think of him.
In a related note, years and years ago, like 10 years the closest GRM'er to where I lived was in Castalia, OH. At that time, he was about an hour from me. I have since moved and am less than 10 minutes from there.
But, along the way and well before I moved, I never saw a posting again from that guy (who's screen name I do not remember.) The only thing I do remember was a mention of cancer.

Or, as he may appreciate...Let him know we still stink of him!
In reply to Bumboclot:
I just tried the link, but nothing happened. I will try again in a little bit. Thanks Bumboclot.

There that is much better.
If anyone wants to see two run groups from my trip to Watkins Glen in June with the Porsche Club of America. Go to youtube and search for Mike Kirby. You should find two videos from the Sunday. Took me that long to figure out the Go-Pro. LOL.
Glad to be back especially with something that runs and drives well. And hey with something sporty and "right" wheel drive. LOL.
Cheers;
