So, um, yea, I'm like an adult and stuff. I just bought a beige Honda Odyssey and it was exactly what I wanted. Now I just need to add the tow package, some Timbren bump stops and I'll be good to go.

The good news is that you will be nearly invisible to the police.

Welcome....make sure you put the OBX sicker on the back window...it's like an F.O.P. donor badge...(and adds 10hp).

The "LeGrand" logo sticker got transferred from the Xterra to the Oddity in the parking lot, as did the GRM license plate frame.

Buying an Ody doesn't make you an adult, just a dad. My kids are 11 and almost 9 and I'm not an adult yet, nor do I plan to be one anytime soon! Good choice BTW, we had 2 of the last gen Ody and were happy with them but the Wife got bored with them before we got to the new generation so we went Pilot after that.

Is it possible to not be bored with a minivan?

My dad wore those all the time, back in the 1970's.

I am convinced that Dockers are the sans-s-belt slacks for my generation. (Sorry to steal this thread)

We like my Chevrolet Venture mini-van because the two rows separated the two kids and kept fighting down..................

Feel free to beat up on any old sports cars -- maybe a 356, or an E-Type . Heck, you'd probably beat my Miata (shouldn't the board spell-check recognize that word) in a drag race.

You can redeem yourself by putting some sort of sexy rim and tire combo on it....even if it doesn't make sense.

Even with just one baby, I've been thinking about buying a conversion van. Kids need a lot of stuff, and it would make a fine hauler/camper for track weekends. It just wouldn't be a good winter rig for my neck of the woods. They seem to be dirt cheap these days.

I was talking to my FIL yesterday about purchasing a more family oriented car instead of my EK hatch. I was thinking turbo subaru, TDI jetta or 4wd or whatever... So he tells me I'm an idiot and i need to purchase a mini van.

It took all of my strentgh to not punch the man in the face. .stop the car and make him walk home.

Is it bad that I wanted to hurt a 67 year old guy.

Nothing wrong with beige. Sandy Beige was used on some competition Minis back in the day.

You know you have to drive one for an extended period of time to appreciate them. My toyota sienna is pretty quick, makes a nice growl at WFOT and gets 30 on the highway to boot. Right now mixed my average is 19, an I don't baby it.

Jeremy Clarkson would thrash you for buying a "beige" vehicle...just watch any of last season as he expresses his distaste for the color and the perplexing phenomenon with masses of people purchasing vehicles in this color.

With that being said, here is a great example of a minivan I would pimp, and should be a template for your future mods.

Nice choice Per! My wife is really stoked with our Sienna, great road trip vehicle and very practical.

Just curious, are you planning to tow an enclosed trailer and the LeGrand with it? I'll be interested in hearing your experiences.

My mom has an '07 Oddy. I love the thing, much nicer than I would have thought. I don't like it as much as the '05 Accord she traded off for it, though. For what it is, the Oddy is an awesome vehicle, and I'd purchase one right now if the wife would stand to drive such a big vehicle.

When your kids ride motocross, race BMX, play soccer and lacrosse, ski and snowboard, its minivan FTW. My weapon of choice is an AWD Astro. Ignorant I see a minivan in your future. I'm not kidding.
