I miss the good old days of hanging and firing squads.
Injection doesn't seem right
how do the quotes go?

tooth for a tooth?
Live by the sword, die by the sword?
Well, he is getting a shot...
And Death by Firing Squad is considered honorable, for example, Goering asked for death by firing squad after being convicted at Nurinburg, as an honorable solider. He was turned down, as he was now a convicted criminal, having commited war crimes.
To me, what ever is the most obscure, to erase his name and life into the blur of time is best. A no-count death for a no-count life.
He was a murderous bastard, for certain, and deserves to be "put to sleep" by whatever means. Dragging a kid into his neferious scheme only compounds the heinous nature of his crimes.
Having said that, I confess that I've always felt there was a certain ingenuity to his method. The whole "enter the trunk without getting out of the car and shoot from a prone position through a hidden door between the tailights" just struck me as the epitome of stealth sniper technique. Highly original, and apparently very hard to detect.
Not that I condone any of it, but I'm just sayin'...
I saw some of that documentary. I was in and out of the room - Did they ever mention how wrong the profile was?
What? It wasn't a white Christian with glasses and a flannel shirt? What ever happend to that "police chief?" Wasn't he going to write a million dollar book or something? shiny happy persons. All of them, and good riddance to Mr. Mohammed.

I don't get profilers either. Seems a lot of stock is put into the modern version of reading bumps on your head (Phrenolgy). Scientists are also discrediting a lot of forensic "science" as inaccurate as well.
Challenging Discredited Science in Texas
That said I was in Va when this was going down. I was in Richmond but those guys shot at least one person further down 95S than anyone here would've liked.
..I don't think we should kill him. That's an easy way out. I'd kill myself if I faced living the rest of my life in prison. I think life in prison, being harassed by every bully on your H.S. wrestling team into perpetuity, would be punishment enough for anyone.
9mm, back of the head, cremate, spread ashes in garbage dump. Life sentence = we pay $$$$ for his upkeep for years. Not worth it.

With all the required automatic appeals, waiting periods, etc. it's actually more expensive to execute someone than it is to lock them up for 20+ years.
Doesn't mean we shouldn't execute them. Just means that economics is not the reason to do it.

Malvo should be getting the injection too. And if you think I'm too harsh remember they shot an elementary school child too. About 10 minutes after I drove by that school on my way to work.
at least he isn't whining (that I've heard) about how unfair the death penalty is. Of course, I haven't followed the case.

This. But with a twist: put him in jail and have a sniper shoot him at some random time.
Glad to see. I'm a firm believer in the death penalty.

Then how does this ever happen? If it's considered honorable, but you have to have committed a crime to be sentenced to death anyway.
I'm confused.

Like when your big brother said "For that..I'm going to hit you...but not now. You won't know when it's coming." The worst kind of anticipation besides waiting to find out if she's really a girl or just some dude with duct taped "candy".

Not yet......... Elimination process is scheduled to start sometime around 8:30PM.
With any luck, those who administer the injectio(s) will miss a vein and jab away at least ten times to find it.

Edit - And make him consume an entire Bacon Explosion for his last meal.
Ya know, where's Black Jack Pershing when you really need him? Firing squads with bullets dipped in pig blood. Leave one alive and let him go so he can tell his buddies. That's how America used to stop these little issues.

I thought it was MacArthur that did that. Oh well.

minus one. don't waste the bacon!
Confirmed TOD is 9:11PM, according to the AP. Ironic, but the time seems appropriate for a terrorist.

Stoning. That would be more appropriate. Slow, painful and brutal, that's the way he and Malvo should go.
