Best Spam Text Ever

Last night, the following spam text hit my phone:

"Hi Volvo Mike, Wanda Knight-Griffin invited you to Petro Palace Party.  Tap the link below to RSVP via Evite:"

Much as I know this is spam, a "Petro Palace Party" sounds intriguing to me...

I must be the one of the few people who doesn't get many spam call or text. I miss them sometimes.

Nah, my Google phone has stopped catching the spoofed, spam calls. 

I'm tired of getting 10 calls per week about how my car's warranty is expiring soon.

That was along the lines my mind was going.  

However, there is an an actual Petro Palace, it's a hotel in Russia.

Petro in this case probably refers to Peter, as in St Petersburg, Russia.

A Peter Palace Party does not sound like much fun to me.

I just emailed one of my Chinese vendors and got this auto-reponse:

We are having Qingming Festival holidays from 5-7 Apr.

Had a spam email show up this morning in my inbox with a bit of personalization software gone hilariously wrong.

This is a personalized email for "NULL NULL".

Shades of Catch-22 with the letter that began with "Words cannot describe the deep personal grief I felt when your son, father, or brother was killed, wounded, or reported missing in action."
