Mrs. p's dad passed away a bit ago.
She is the most pro-active of her siblings so she is dealing with everything.
She has three titles to ??? Boats, trailers...no clue.
Is there a resource to help her figure out what is what?
Year, Make, Size, Body:
2002 USA 11' 2" VS?
2006 SARC 13' 6" TV?
She figured out the other is a 10' John boat.

13'6" definitely sounds like a 14' boat.
I'm assuming you guys are not near the estate so can't look at anything? Someone might be nearby that could see what is on the property, but I'd worry about concerned neighbors reporting someone snooping
Can call the DMV and be on hold for an hour and explain the situation a d ask if they can give more info. The full title will definitely say if its watercraft or a trailer or whatever, though
Edit: in Florida the only reason to register a boat under (I think) 16 feet is if it has a motor on it. So you should have a couple outboards as well

We are in NH.
I guess he had a Zodiac inflatable at one point so that may be one of them. Would make sense to have a trailer for it too I'd think.
Dunno about Florida, but Virginia DMV keeps track of trailers, but not boats. Boats are registered through the Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries.
Edit: Just checked. Now known as DWR, or Dept. of Wildlife Resources. They handle titling and registration of boats.
2002 USA 11' 2" VS
I am 90% sure that is a 2002 Cougar Marine USA model Jon Boat
If any Boat there says ST-10 on the side, thats it

Got two boats and three trailers. Trailers (at least of these sizes) do not have titles in Florida, just registration, so if it specifically says title its not a trailer.
The registration will also have a body code. Trailer is (I think) TRLR. Motorhome is MH. Hearse is HEARS. Trailer types have different codes as well. Auto caddy is AUTOC. Boat trailer is BOAT.

Correct. I'm in VA, but I seem to buy more boats from FL than I do VA. Transferable registration for trailers under a certain capacity, Title's for boats. Really messes with VA DMV because we title ALL trailers here.
Assuming those are the Manufacturer's code from the HIN, USA is a Quicksilver Inflatable (commonly called a "Zodiac", in the "Kleenex" for "a tissue" kind of way) and I'm not sure about the SARC, since the codes are 3 digits. SAR is this:
Preach, can't you take the paperwork you have and go look the boats over; find a VIN and see if it matches ANY of the boats?
Where is it located? I'm in Jupiter if I can help.

I don't know when she plans on heading back down there. There being just north of Tampa I think. He used to live in Punta Gorda so that makes sense Spearfishin.
Not a VIN. Hull Identification Number. Usually on the transom. Good luck.
Hi all, Mrs. preach here.
Thanks for all the help folks, I knew the hive would be able to help!
The story is, we live in NH and my father was living at his house in Punta Gorda, FL. When he passed I was given copies of 6 titles, which 4 I was able to identify. The other 2 are the ones preach listed. The only boat I saw on the property was his sailboat which I have the title for and could match to it. The other boats I have no idea where they are/went. My father had pretty severe dementia so he also was hiding things before he went to the memory care center. There also a chance they were stolen. The sailboat is too big to steal without a great deal of work and money however.
So, I'm not really sure what to tell the lawyers about the missing boats. I'm wondering if next time I"m down there I might have to file a police report if I can't find the Zodiac and other boats. There is a chance that the Zodiac is deflated and in the spare bedroom down there, but like I said I'm in NH and it's not easy for me to shoot down there to look for one item that most likely isn't there.
Anywho, thanks for the help again, this is a bit overwhelming, so any help is greatly appreciated!
Sorry for your loss. Dementia is awful.
If he didn't keep all the titles in the same place - it may be possible he filed for a lost title to facilitate a sale and these titles are obsolete. Perhaps the county or state could tell if the hull members got new titles?
Edit: filing a police report might lead the the same conclusion even faster.
Depending on sailboat size, and construction type of the inflatable, it could easily be stowed on the sailboat. We had an 11ft inflatable that would fit (deflated and folded) in a below deck storage compartment on a 31ft boat.
Thank you for the condolences. It's hard, but I was lucky to have him as long as I did.
Spearfishin, you are definitely right it is possible for the Zodiac to be stowed either on the boat or in a spare bedroom where the sailboat 'soft items' like the cushions etc. are stored. The sailboat is a Cape Dory 30 (I think it's actually 32', but I might be wrong). It has sat for too long and it is in rough condition at least from the outside. I have soo many memories on that boat, it's very sad to see it in such a condition considering when my dad was capable he kept it in pristine condition and spent a lot of time doing beautiful custom work to it. C'est la vie I suppose.

Not sure if you will get any new information or not but you can try running the title numbers here:

Here's the current state of "The Areola". Yes, that really is the name.
