Nice to see that old boat designs are still the most efficent.
All the people at work who have boats tend to have large outboards.. and then complain how expensive it is to go out every weekend

Huh, because I know a guy with a full-size tug, and he says it burns about 40 gallons of diesel an hour, and it doesn't make much difference if he's got a tow or not.
I watched boat drag races last weekend, and the whole time, I was thinking to myself: "when plain old car drag racing just isn't expensive enough..."

That is actually really good. The Cajun Push boats down here go into the 200 G/h range.
I think the C-brats was listing fuel consumption at 8~10 knots at 2 G/h
