Yeah, she'll kick some redneck ass.

Yeah definitely not the kind of body I'm into...although in the article pics she looks vastly less masculine.
Yeah... The OP pic does not give a positive first impression... but reading the article helps. I hope she does well.

I think she is somewhere between the top of the Y and NPH's left shoulder on that graph. Or maybe near the beer.
One of our crew guys got run over on pit road by a woman driver, does that count? No harm done, but we never let him hear the end of it. He kind of a crush on her too.
Somehow I think she'll do fine!

Sounds more like she put the crush on him!
And really people? A woman breaking into a new field and the biggest thing you're worried/talking about is how hot she is? Isn't this from the same board of people who think that people only pay attention to Danica because she poses in bathing suits?
It'll be interesting to see how well she can do. Good on her if she's able to do that job on that level.
In reply to Beer Baron:
Not particularly. Most of what I took away from it is that it takes being an "elite level " athlete for her to do it. Other than that, who cares? It's not anything special.
She's a crossfitter, so I figured she'd look great in tight clothes but get closer to no when they started getting skimpy.

+1
I think she's amazing. I'm totally envious, as someone who used to be built like that, and now spends roughly 14 hours a day at a computer, lifting a coffee mug to my mouth.
Inspiring enough to take my flabby ass back to the gym.
Only thing that makes me a bit nervous for her is that she says she wants to start low and work her way up as she builds skills. But because she's a marketable item, the team leaders may want to fast track her to the bigger leagues where she will be expected to perform flawlessly from the get go.
I think it's cool that she's found her niche finally. F1 wasn't working well for her. Nascar on the other hand, seems to be her world.

Maybe they have a Christmas discount
what they don't mention in that article- unless it's towards the end, i lost interest a few paragraphs in- is that most teams run the pit stops in such a way that the tire carrier, jack man, and the guy that used to operate the catch can do most of the work of removing the old wheel and putting the new one on, with the tire changer really only removing and tightening the lug nuts and running around the car to do the other side without tripping over the air hose or jack man or plowing into the gas man... so actually, someone built like her might be a little better at that particular job than the 200 pound former college football linebacker that did it until a couple of years ago.
i'll be impressed when there is a woman tire carrier or gas man..

Rimshot.
Seriously though. Those places are $150 a month.
