Small pistols usually suck to practice with, which is why I pretty much run only duty & full size now. Some people can't conceal those though, so I understand people choosing small stuff.

I mean, my compact and duty size are the same basic firearm. Both all steel. The 3" is just so much easier to hide.

I got a mount in from Trijicon so I can put an SRO on my Benelli M2.  I also got a + 2 new tube extension so I can have the state limit of rounds in it and I don't have to hall around the crazy long tube and all the plastic block off pieces in it.   Hoping to take more weight off the front of it to help with speed in trap/skeet.  It will hopefully allow me to accelerate and stop the swing faster.

I have a 03/8 pocket hammer less in 380. It's a fun little pistol.

I bought another garbage rod last week for a buck fiddy, but in my normal fashion, it's not even a Soviet Mosin. Ended up with a Finn m91 to go with my pair of Finn m39's.

Don't paint your boom sticks sparkly purple. It makes them hard to sell.

Once it does sell, it'll fund a better trigger for my 308, and a Henry golden boy 22 to replace my marlin 60, which will be sold to fund something else. Round and round we go.

I do but due to the ...unstable... nature of the regulations of certain platforms regarding barrel length and pistol classification, I'd rather not post them publicly. Pm me and I'll send you photos if you want.

Kind of goes without saying...  expect the same for any kind of paint, camo, cerakote, etc.

On a happy note, took my Ruger SFAR out yesterday and managed the best groups yet out of it...  Ringing 8" steel at 500 was easy.

How's your SFAR been running? I know TFL had issues, but seemed like it was a Friday gun.

Anyone used a Kali Key? Thinking about buying a stripped lower, then an upper from PSA and roll my own. NY has stupid laws, you now need a permit to buy (but not possess) semi auto rifles. The other plus is that I can keep all the features (pistol grip, adjustable stock, removable mag, muzzle device) and drop the semi BCG in out of state.

Assume you wanted a "back of the napkin" appraisal of your stuff.  How would YOU guys go about it?

Finally received a piece I commissioned as a custom job a year ago!

AR-15 upper in .22 TCM, 8" barrel. I have a 16" on the way as well. Custom-built by Mos-Tek here in Arizona. I'm stoked! .22 TCM is a neat little round; out of a 1911 I get in the neighborhood of 2500fps with a 40gr head. That comes with a large muzzle flash, so I'd expect with a longer barrel to burn more powder I'll get a few more fps. It's a soft-shooting round (meaning it's easy to stay on target) that does not pose the same risk of overpenetration as other cartridges.

Valuation for insurance?   Take a look at completed auctions (that had bids) on some of the major sites.  Most of the 'blue book' type publications can't keep up with how rapidly the market changes these days, and are out of whack with actual values.  For more common stuff, you can look at LGS prices.

I think the same about Mosins really.

I did get a neat Zastava Tokarev last year that seemed unfired but needs some help. Trigger doesn't always trigger basically

Just picked up my first "pellet gun" in decades... a Umarex Notos.  .22 cal, compressed air.  Airguns have come a long way!

Pretty impressed so far.  Rated for 700fps, and put a pellet through 1/2" plywood like it wasn't there.  Reasonably quiet with the integrated moderator (suppressor).  Still waiting for my compressor to show up, so I've only fired it enough for a quick 10 meter zero and one 5 shot group.

Main mission will be pest control on our property, and I expect it will be more than adequate.

PCP airguns are great for backyard shooting... good ones are the most accurate and precise things you can shoot @ 25 yards. The Benjamin Cayden I have shoots one ragged hole @ 25 yards and is very consistant in shot to shot velocity even though it's unregulated, have it set around 860fps (chronographed with the Garmin Xero C1 Pro) with under a 2fps standard deviation in a 10 shot string, sometimes just under 1fps standard deviation. Just need to find the pellet the gun really likes for best precision... the JSB Diabolo Jumbo 18.13gr and Air Arms Diabolo Field heavy 18gr are the standard to try for great precision from a .22 call PCP rifle.

Birds is pretty much what I bought it for.... we are overrun with house sparrows.  It's like living in a Hitchcock movie at times.  If the wind wasn't blowing 50mph today I would have already tested it on a few.

It sounds about like a staple gun... not silent, but reasonably covert.  And far less risky down range than even a .22 short.

The biggest downside is the compressors for these high pressure PCP airguns aren't cheap.  I bought a cheap one off Amazon (that had solid reviews online) and it was still more than the gun...

Got the call my Mark 23 should be in this weekend. I also finally completed my non SBR version of my LMT.  A 12.5 barrel with a 4.5" brake that I had custom machined then pinned and welded to get me to 16.1 inches of total length.

let's me swap my 22" 6.5 CM barrel out and shoot 7.62/308. Much cheaper amo. Very curious about recoil and accuracy of this setup. Oh and I am assuming the fireball will be epic.
