Out of interest do you konw what model of car and age the kid had them on? If it was a nearly new car like yours and he's just lost a $100k a year job then it may have just been a poor decision. If it was a 10 year old $10k car and he had a minimum wage job then it was almost criminaly stupid of him.

And how about the mega bux sound system? 2-3000.00 there, too.

They spend(rarely rent2own) $8k on "Dem Rimz".......either way they'll all end up on craigslist for $600 within a year.......either knicked or with one berkeleyed up.
That is just crazy... Do like your new wheels though.
Wheels look great! Vertini makes nice stuff.
Me too - $4,000?
I'm guessing that's with the juice. $2k in wheels, plus interest, plus late fees.

I'm with Poopshovel. Those wheels are probably $2000 if you pay cash. It's all of the administrative costs and fees tacked onto the wheels that made them cost so much.
I'd like to rent some 17x9" lightweight wheels wrapped in Hoosier A-6 tires, please?
30 days until first payment due should be plenty of time.

I read in a recent GRM about a company doing just that at SCCA National Tours...
i once made payments on a set of wheels at a junkyard... they were a nice set of IROCs with good tires to put on my 76 Monte Carlo back in '93.. the asking price was only $200, but i only made like $4.50 an hour at my job so i didn't just have that kind of money laying around..
everyone laughed at my goofy big 16" wheels..
