It's a true story except they didn't rub my head or call me little buddy but they enjoyed a good laugh on my behalf.
That's okay, just keep sending over those commissions.....

Power steering...
The coldest I've seen was -11F. I had a Golf with manual steering. The grease in the rack got so stiff that I could barely turn the wheel.
Hey, I'm happy that it started. And that I'd blanked off the center dash vents the year before. (VW ran the center vents from before the heater core, because hot air is bad for some reason. And they couldn't be closed)
As much as I don't care for the cold anymore, those -25C mornings, the first few minutes are so nice. The suspension fluid is cold and thick, the grease is stiff, the gears whine, everything feels tight and new. I love it.
Well I'm glad I didn't spend yesterday working on the sled. That snow storm that was threatening our very existence? Turned out to be a whole lot of feathers, and not much chicken. I wouldn't be out on the sled today anyway. Colour me surprised. Not.

You don't need to go very far to get into some decent snow, probably one of the best winters in southern Ontario for snowmobiling in a few years provided you are getting the lake effect snow. We had a solid foot and a half in our backyard in Kitchener when I left Monday before last nights storm.
It's supposed to get up to +40° F on Sunday but for now, it's -46° F. That's only -43.34° C for you Metric folks.
TIL if you hold down the Alt key and type 0176, after you release the Alt key it creates the (°) degree symbol.

Holy carp that is cold. I only got into the -30f once on a work trip outside Fargo in Feb... Damn it was cold.
It finally hit -33°F here. Just saw a C8 driving by, I could hear the plastic snapping as it bounced over every bump in the ice covered street from my minivan.
See, sometimes I think about moving up north and then I see things like this and think "hahaha never mind." I would not survive, I barley survive 30 degree weather the few times we get it here in Florida.

Lol, I'm too dumb to know any better. I wonder if Texas is ready for barely above 0°F tonight? Got lots of blankets?

Yeah, no thank you. I will continue to enjoy my 75°F and sunny weather, thank you very much.
Why not Minot? Because it's frakkin cold! :)
It's a balmy +teens here in CT, although it'll be 6ish tomorrow it looks like.
