I would be willing to bet the housing was cracked and they stuck the camera there to catch the carnage.

I have drifted a Semi like that!
I remember way back when I took the Commercial drivers course the instructors were taken aback when I asked for skid pad training. I much later found that they are very stable on flat ground. They are not happy on any inclines or tilts if not at speed. It is very easy to fall off the inside of a banked turn!
It's hard to believe, but this wasn't a taco food trailer. Luckily it was early morning and no one was close by. Suspected failure of a propane line.
