I can't be the only guy that enjoys a good cigar while working on stuff car/garage cleaning/yard/etc. If you're a fellow cigar smoker what are some of your favorites?
Some of mine:
- Fuente Hemingway series (short story or best seller size.
- Perdomo Champange 10th anniversary
- 22N/83W - this is a shop specific smoke to two guys smoke shop in the northeast.
- Hammer and Sickle Berlin Wall
- Padron 3000 Maduro
I think this okay for off topic? If not, let me know!
I always seem to shoot for the Artureo Fuente, but part of that is nostalgia with my dad. I do think they taste great (and thank god) aren't too big.
Illusione 88 Robusto is my 100% go to every single time when I am out of the really good stuff from my Mexico trips. 9$ or so and you can get defect's unbranded in the 6$ range.
If you are in Mexico and you want the good stuff "El Gato Gordo" in PV has the absoutle best selection of Cubans. Good house roll as well.
Honestly I cannot do a full cigar anymore and stick to pipe tobacco and for that I pretty much stick to dunhill and nothing else.

I really love being in Tampa for this. Not that I have one often, but I like a good cigar a couple times a year.
I hit up these guys when I have a hankering. Been wandering through their selection.

Love these, always have some on hand. Unfortunately, the quality control is a roller coaster, most are way too tight on the draw, and owning a PerfecDraw is nearly qualifier for buying them.
I'm a Maduro fan so most of these are going to be Maduros. I'm also a Robusto fan so that is the primary size I buy.
Arturo Fuente 858 Maduro are my jam. They are kind of a Saturday morning ritual with a cup of coffee. I just finished it. I buy them by the box in Rothchild and Corona size because the Robusto isn't available. They are lovely and fairly consistent, though you will get the occasional one that has a tight draw.
Gurkha makes some decent cigars for the price. The Governors Maduro blend is pretty decent as are their Triple Ligero. My biggest complaint is they do frequently require a touch up with the lighter to keep them burning.
Padron 2000 are always well made and always tasty. Their 1926 Anniversary cigars are outstanding but also expensive.
If you like a strong cigar try the Fernandez San Lotano Requiem Maduro. Super smokey, spicy, and well made.
The My Father 1922 Le Bijou is another good one. Fairly strong.
If you want something stupid cheap ($1.00ea) but not awful, try the 365s from Famous Smoke. I bought a bundle on a whim and was surprised they didn't taste like grass. I smoke them on rainy humid days when I know the humidity is going to make smoking a fight. That way if I get disgusted half way through I don't have to throw out a $10 cigar.
Also keep in mind, the longer they stay in your humidor, the better they get. I try let any new cigars acclimate for at least two weeks before smoking them. Most shippers and a lot of shops keep their humidors a little too wet for my taste. I keep mine at 65% humidity and 70 degrees.
I'll smoke a cigar with the guys occasionally but ive found i like pipe tobacco MUCH more. Smoother, better flavor variety, and my mouth doesn't taste like an ashtray the next day. I always get the ashtray thing from cigars for some reason.
If like cigars you should try a pipe.
But I dont smoke either more than once in a blue moon.

I have a hand full of pipes as well. There are a lot of really good pipe tobaccos. A couple of favorites are Hearth and Home's Ten to Midnight, and Grandma's Kitchen.
I tend to smoke more cigars than pipes because pipes take more attention than a cigar.
Weekend morning on the garage with cup of coffee. I always go for tabak especial cafe con leche. My favorite cigar.
