Palmetto State had them for I think $380 not long ago for the regular sights and I think night sight versions were $420 or something. They come with two back straps (one on one off) and one mag. There was also a package deal not long ago where you could get the SIG laser with one for free.

You may hate me now but you will love me when you shoot the SIG Pro.

I've loved all the sigs I've fired, so I doubt this will be any different. I've wanted a pro for awhile now, the local shops just wanted $700+ for them.

$700 for a Pro? Wow talk about a rip off that is getting into P226 territory. Heck I only paid $500 for my P220.

Yamaha I do not disagree with you about outsourcing. I'm pretty sure FN still mfgs machine guns in Columbia SC. Not sure which model(s) they is/are. I tried to get a job there in the mid 1980s.

Also, I think I'll be attempting to get a sp2022 in .357 sig......I want that caliber in my life again.

Yeah there have been some police trade ins on the market lately for about that price. Some 228s and 229s as well. All of them can be had for about $400-450 each which is a screaming deal. Gonna pick up another here next month I think.

My sniper rifle was originally sold to the DOC in Cali, I have the original paperwork and box. It is also an FN and has made its way into my hands

Different country of origin and model number. CZ is the cream of the crop (not true Mak but Mak chambered) and original Russian PM (military)models are good tough reliable weapons commercial ones can be iffy at times and have a larger rear sight.

Palmetto State has the Sig Pro 2022 for 350 bucks till midnight today! I want to buy one but I've never bought a gun online and don't know how. I also don't have a concealed carry so it would probably be difficult...

You just have to go to your local gun shop and see if they'll do the transfer for you......they'll have to send their FFL number and adress to palmetto, and you'll pay palmetto for the weapon and shipping.....then you'll probably have to pay the local shop for the FFL transfer into your name once they recieve it. Its not that hard of a process.

Find a local FFL that will do tranfers most charge about $20. Complete the order and put their address as the shipping. Give the FFL your order number and they will send Palmetto a copy of their FFL. Palmetto ships gun to your local shop and you go in and pick it up and process paperwork.

Anyone got recommendations for a tuckable IWB holster for a commander sized 1911? Going to take the concealed carry permit class in a few weeks. I have a cheap kydex OWB holster for the class. I know holsters are personal choices like weapons & women, just looking for some ideas of ones that folks have been either very happy or very unhappy with in hopes of not ending up with $1000 in holsters sitting in the drawer full of "me no likey".

I don't yet own a 1911, but the IWBs I hear most favorably about come from Crossbreed, DeSantis(my fave for in-pocket), and Safariland. I fully intend to buy a Crossbreed Supertuck when the time comes.

Could also take a gander through the Uncle Mike's catalog. A few cheapies through them might give you a better idea what you want without spending heaps of cash.

A local gun machine shop did Mak barrels in .380. I used that gun to qualify for my Tn permit. A little heavy and imo, a copy of the Walther but still a very good gun for its price.

Crossbreed is one that I'm looking at. Didn't realize DeSantis made anything other than pocket holsters. I'd go for the Miami whatever shoulder rig, but I don't want to wear the appropriate cover 99% of the time.

Yep, that's my pick. Good quality leather, good retention, adjustable enough to fit practically anyone, hides well, and won't break the bank.

Will check out their website more this weekend. Any idea if there is any practical difference in the 3" - 3.5" 1911 and 4" - 5" 1911 holsters? Most of the brands I've been able to find out, it appears that you can use a shorter barreled 1911 in a holster for a longer barreled 1911 but not the reverse.
